Getting there
2. Sustainable Tourism in Austria Summit
The 2nd Sustainable Tourism in Austria Summit 2025 will take place at the Festspielhaus Bregenz.
Bregenz, the capital of Vorarlberg, is easily accessible by all means of transport, especially via public transportation.
Arrival by Train
Direct trains operate regularly and multiple times daily. Travel times include approximately 2 hours from Munich to Bregenz, about 1.5 hours from Zurich to Bregenz, and just under 7 hours from Vienna to Bregenz, with the Railjet departing every two hours heading west.
From Bregenz train station, it’s a 7-minute walk to the Festspielhaus. If you’d like to combine your arrival with a short lakeside stroll, you can disembark at the “Bregenz Hafen” stop and walk along the lakeside promenade, reaching the venue within 15 minutes.
Arrival by car
Vorarlberg is easily accessible by car from all four directions. Please note that Austria has a motorway and expressway toll system, and a motorway vignette is required to drive on these roads. Electric vehicle (EV) charging stations are available throughout the area, making it convenient for those traveling in electric cars to reach the region.
This is Bregenz
Thanks to the Bregenz Festival, the internationally renowned Kunsthaus Bregenz, and numerous events, Bregenz is considered the cultural capital of Lake Constance. The historic old town, with the iconic Martinsturm, provides a peaceful contrast to the vibrant life in the city center.
The Pfänder, Bregenz’s local mountain at 1,064 meters, offers an unforgettable experience. The modern, comfortable Pfänder Panorama Cable Car takes you silently and swiftly to the most stunning viewpoint overlooking Lake Constance.
